Listen up guys. Voting is now open for the first City Weekend Suzhou Readers' Choice Awards. The time has come to vote for your favorite dining and nightlife venues in Suzhou.
Voting starts today and runs through the end of the month--look for final winners to be announced in May. And yes, as always, we will be putting in some sleepless nights weeding out the fake votes to ensure that fairness prevails. One set of votes per person and you have to have a valid user account to vote. (Don't have an account yet? Sign up here).
Got some questions about how this whole thing works? We thought you might, so below we've answered some of your FAQs.
Who are the nominees?
The nominees are a compilation of the most buzzed venues found on City Weekend. That means they were chosen by users like YOU! This year, we're giving even more power to you - our loyal readers whose opinion matters the most to us. Open nominations are available in each category, so feel free to express your passion for this city.
What's in it for me?
We’ll be giving away various prize vouchers (such as RMB500 Sherpa's voucher) to every 30th voter (Voter #30, #60, #90 and so on), so hurry and vote today to see if you’re a lucky winner! We'll announce the winners after the voting closes on April 30 and contact you via email.
How many awards are dished out?
Each category will have two placings. The Readers' Choice Award is given to the absolute most-voted venue. The Editor’s Pick Award is selected by our editors according to our criteria and expertise. We will present the prizes at our big City Weekend Suzhou Readers' Choice Awards Party in May.
When can I vote?
Balloting is open now and closes after April 30th. Tell your friends, family, and colleagues, and encourage them to vote! May your favorite bar, restaurant, club or band win!

I'm organizing a dinner tomorrow, feel free to join! http://suzhoupengyou.com/events/suzhou-dinner-fish-house-hotpot
Hello, Dr. Brian, long time no see, had a nice spring festival? Hope to see you in the next gathering in Le Parisien :) when will it be? this friday possibly? Sorry I didnt join in you becuase of super busy time at work before spring festival:( I guess the place you introduced is called in Chinese 万科美好广场, my coworkers have recommended there for several times, I'll go check the Thai food restaurant you wrote about this weekend, thanks for sharing ;) see you soon:D
Thai Cuisine which just is in a soft opening through tomorrow is a new gem with authentic The ai cooking and a great owner, Ivan Liu, who has all the charm and food and beverage knowledge necessary to be a first class food venue. Though bistro in feel and certainly not only cooking Royal Thai cuisine, the flavors areure strong and just the right admixture of temperature, texture, seasoning and contrast to make symphonies play on one's taste buds. A real winner and the only quality Thai restaurant of not alongside The One on Xinghai Jie. Thai Cuisine is found in the new shopping center at Jinjihu Lu and Donghuan Highway on the third floor
Anybody want to organize a dinner for this week? I'd love to try a new restaurant!

When the next meeting will be placed?
Best Western food store I have now found is BHG at Central Station on subway line in below ground shopping mall and offers 5% discount if one joins their club...prices are generally good and range of fresh and packaged/canned products is outstanding.
I am looking for a replacement to revive BestFoodinChina.net restaurant reviews for Suzhou.
Welcome toSuzhou 朋友
